Tamar Nachshon was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1988 and received her BFA from University of California, Santa Cruz in 2010, majoring in studio arts. Her artwork deploys abstract shapes in large spaces, using the physical world and representative subjects to experiment with shape, color, texture, and temperature. Although Tamar is most recognized for her abstract paintings, she has explored a variety of media including wood, metal, paper, plaster, and photography.
Tamar lives and works in Los Angeles.
